He was an instructor at the Selkirk College Contemporary Music and Technology Program and a member of many music festival organizations both locally and provincially. Rick's past bands include No Excuse, The Atlantics, Playmor Junction Big Band, Hornography and What It Is. Rick has assembled orchestras and directed the music for: “Into the Woods”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Footloose”, “The Sound of Music”, “Fame”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Cabaret”, “Rock of Ages” and “The Fantastiks” among others.
